CenturyLink extends naming-rights deal with Seahawks’ stadium

US telecommunications company CenturyLink has extended a naming-rights partnership with CenturyLink Field, the home of the Seattle Seahawks NFL American football team and the Seattle Sounders Major League Soccer franchise.

The renewed agreement will run for 15 seasons, from 2019 to 2033.

In addition to the naming-rights arrangement, CenturyLink will continue to serve as the exclusive communications services sponsor of CenturyLink Field and the Seahawks, and will also work with the team on its various community programmes.

CenturyLink will also retain the naming rights to the nearby CenturyLink Field Event Centre.

The current naming-rights deal began in 2004, with the stadium known as Qwest Field. However, following CenturyLink’s takeover of Qwest Communications in 2011, the name of the venue was changed to reflect the acquisition.
