Online sports betting company Unibet has struck a partnership with the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Twenty20 cricket tournament.
Unibet will serve as the official betting partner of the league. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
Under the agreement, Unibet will offer a range of betting markets on the league, with the 2015 edition set to start on June 20.
“The league continues to go from strength to strength, and partnering with a renowned international brand like Unibet, with its strong cricketing credentials, speaks volumes for our growing reputation,” the league’s chief operating officer, Pete Russell, said. “This collaboration will give our fans and our viewers at home even more ways to enjoy the excitement of what promises to be the most gripping Caribbean Premier League season yet.”
Unibet UK country manager Phillip Manzi added: “As official betting partner, we look forward to providing CPL fans with a variety of exciting and innovative bet types while allowing people to bet live in-play, with ball-by-ball betting.”
