Canon snaps up Rugby World Cup spot

Imagine solutions company Canon has reached a deal to become an official sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2015.

The agreement represents the first time Canon has teamed with rugby union’s premier national team event and it will provide all print and copying solutions to tournament organisers before the competition in England next year.

Canon’s professional services team will also be on site to assist accredited photographers at matches with advice, essential maintenance services, equipment loans and minor repairs, as well as engaging in fan activities.

Rugby World Cup Limited chairman Bernard Lapasset said: "This exciting deal with a global leader in imaging represents another exciting boost for Rugby World Cup as we look forward to what promises to be a very special and record-breaking England 2015 tournament."

Canon adds to the commercial roster for the tournament, which includes Heineken, Land Rover, Société Générale, DHL, Emirates and MasterCard as Rugby World Cup 2015 worldwide partners.
