Camarena Tequila, a brand of US winery E&J Gallo, has agreed a partnership with the 2019 Gold Cup national-team football tournament.
The contract was brokered by Soccer United Marketing on behalf of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf). It names Camarena as the Official Tequila of the Gold Cup.
The wide-ranging partnership grants Camarena Tequila the right to activate in select Gold Cup markets, and provides the ability to create and distribute co-branded items at retail and in bars and restaurants.
As part of the agreement, Camarena will have exclusive rights to the ‘Match Highlights presented by Camarena Tequila’ digital content series. Futbol Fiesta presented by Toyota, the tournament’s official pregame celebration, will also have a heavy Camarena presence.
The 15th edition of the competition, which features 16 national teams, will be held in 15 venues across 13 US metropolitan cities, along with National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica and Estadio Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica, from June 15 to July 7.
Camarena joins Allstate, Cerveza Modelo, Nike, Scotiabank, Sprint and Toyota as official sponsors of the 2019 Gold Cup.
