German Bundesliga football club FSV Mainz 05 has signed a three-year extension to its long-term partnership with state sports betting provider Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz.
Under the deal, Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz retains the naming rights to the standing terrace at Mainz’s Coface Arena, where it will also benefit from a corporate box and banner advertising.
Additionally, from next season, the betting group will also enjoy an advertising presence at the Bruchwegstadion – home to Mainz’ Under-23 and Under-19 teams.
Both parties declined to disclose the financial terms of the agreement but it is understood to be worth €950,000 ($1.36m) per season, meaning a total value of €2.8m over three years.
Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz began its co-operation with Mainz in 1990.
