German Bundesliga football club SC Freiburg has extended its sponsorship agreement with car manufacturer Opel.
In 2012, Opel agreed a two-year partnership with Freiburg to end a 10-year absence from football sponsorship.
Under fresh terms brokered by the Infront Sports & Media agency, Opel will remain as the official automotive partner of Freiburg beyond the current season. The length and financial arrangements of the deal were undisclosed.
The German subsidiary of US automotive giant General Motors will benefit from a range of promotional and activation options at Freiburg’s Mage Solar Stadion, as well as its own sales locations.
Opel will also supply the club with a fleet of vehicles to be used by its first team, youth teams and employees, while enjoying associated hospitality opportunities.
