Bundesliga duo net sponsorship deals

State lottery operator Staatliche Toto-Lotto Baden-Wuerttemberg has reached a sponsorship agreement with German Bundesliga football team VfB Stuttgart, while Werder Bremen has agreed a three-year extension to its partnership with barbecue products manufacturer Landmann.

Stuttgart’s deal is for an initial two years, covering the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, with the option to extend.

As a team partner, Staatliche Toto-Lotto Baden-Wuerttemberg will benefit from television-visible advertising at Stuttgart games, while launching comprehensive advertising, communications and branding activities in association with the club.

Staatliche Toto-Lotto Baden-Wuerttemberg commits in the region of €60m from its betting funds to sports promotion annually, although the financial terms of its agreement with Stuttgart were not disclosed.

Having partnered Werder for the 2014-15 Bundesliga season, Landmann has elected to extend its backing for the three seasons from 2015-16 to 2017-18. The deal grants it advertising presence at games in the Weserstadion.
