The Bahamas’ partly government-owned telecommunications company BTC has reached an agreement to return as title sponsor of Bahamas Athletics’ Junior and Senior National Track and Field Championships.
The athletics meeting takes place from June 27-29 – the first time in Bahamas Athletics’ 60-year history that it will run over three days of competition.
The championships double up as trials for places on Bahamas’ Junior World Championships team, which will compete in Eugene, Oregon next month, while senior athletes will also be recommended to the Bahamas Olympic Committee for consideration to be placed on the country’s team for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Financial terms for the deal between BTC and Bahamas Athletics were not disclosed.
