Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund is reportedly on the verge of a €300m ($336m) mega-deal with German sportswear brand and current kit sponsor Puma.
According to a report from German news site Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund is close to signing a 10-year renewal with Puma at more than €30m per year.
Borussia Dortmund chief executive Carsten Cramer told Sport Bild: “We are in targeted discussions with Puma,” and “Borussia Dortmund will conclude a much more valuable contract than before.”
Cramer declined to comment on specific details, but Sport Bild said it understands the deal will start in July 2020 and end in July 2030.
This would mean the deal is an early extension, as Borussia Dortmund’s current agreement with Puma is scheduled to expire in 2022.
Puma has been the kit sponsor at Borussia Dortmund since the 2012-23 season, and has also been a shareholder in the club since 2014.
When Puma took over from Kappa in 2012, it signed a deal worth €30m over five years.
