German Bundesliga football club Borussia Mönchengladbach has agreed a long-term extension to its sponsorship deal with the Bitburger brewery.
Bitburger has been a partner of Borussia since 2011 and the association has now been extended until the end of the 2021-22 season. The brewery serves as a second tier co-sponsor alongside Audi, Boklunder, Kappa, Kyocera and Santander.
Under the deal, Bitburger retains exclusive pouring rights at Borussia Park and will also establish a beer garden at the club’s home stadium, among other marketing activities.
The extension comes on the back of a successful season for Borussia in which the club finished third in the Bundesliga, securing a place in next season’s Uefa Champions League.
