Premier League leaders sign innovative fantasy gaming partnership

English Premier League football club Leicester City has entered into a first-of-its-kind partnership with global daily fantasy football platform Oulala.

The company has been named the club’s official fantasy football partner. The length of the deal was not disclosed.

Oulala has developed a Leicester-specific version of its game, which was launched ahead of the club’s 3-0 win at Newcastle United on Saturday, a victory that saw the club move to the top of the Premier League table. The bespoke game gives Leicester supporters worldwide the chance to compete against one another to win cash prizes.

As part of the agreement, Oulala will also receive advertising rights at the club’s King Power Stadium, on its official website and inside its matchday programme.

“This partnership adds to our global appeal,” Ian Flanagan, commercial director at Leicester City, said. “Fantasy football is a huge and growing industry in countries such as the US and it will provide those Foxes supporters stateside and elsewhere (with) an opportunity to take part in the LCFC experience.”

The partnership represents Oulala’s first with a Premier League club.
