BetVictor seals World Snooker Shoot Out deal

World Snooker has recruited online gaming company BetVictor to serve as the title sponsor of the governing body’s 2019 Shoot Out event.

The tournament will run from February 21-24 at the Watford Colosseum in the UK.

The competition will feature single-frame matches played over a maximum of 10 minutes, with players given 15 seconds to take their shot for the first five minutes, and then 10 seconds for the final five minutes.

The world-ranking event will be available to watch on international sports broadcaster Eurosport across Europe, as well as digital channel Quest in the UK.

BetVictor previously sponsored snooker’s Welsh Open from 2013 to 2016, as well as three of the so-called ‘Home Nations’ tournaments this season.

World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn said: “We have built a tremendous partnership with BetVictor in recent years as they have sponsored a wide range of tournaments. The Shoot Out is one of the most keenly-anticipated events of the season due to its distinctive and exciting format. This appeals to new fans and helps us reach out to a different audience.”
