The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a directive to the new Women's Premier League (WPL) franchises banning them from agreeing sponsorship deals with companies in the crypto, gambling, tobacco, real money gaming and betting sectors.
The guidance was published in the WPL's new 'commercial workbook', which the BCCI issued to franchises and their owners earlier this week.
