German Basketball Bundesliga team s.Oliver Würzburg has extended its jersey sponsorship deal with financial services company BVUK Gruppe.
The two parties have signed a new three-year deal, which will cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, although BVUK’s founder and chief executive Michael Reizel said it had “doubled” its commitment.
BVUK’s branding will continue to appear on the front of the club’s playing jerseys as part of the extension. The 2015-16 season marked the company’s first as the team’s front-of-jersey sponsor.
The announcement comes after the team earlier this week rebranded itself as s.Oliver Würzburg, having previously been known as s.Oliver Baskets. The rebrand coincided with fashion group s.Oliver signing a three-year extension to its title sponsorship agreement with the team.
