German Bundesliga football club Bayern Munich has entered into an official partnership with audio products manufacturer Beats Electronics.
Under the agreement, the terms of which were undisclosed, Beats will be Bayern’s exclusive provider of headphones and speakers. Bayern players will use the company’s products during the build-up to matches.
“Their mental preparation with music is just as important as their other professional training equipment,” Andreas Jung, marketing board executive at Bayern, said.
Beats already has partnerships with Bayern player and German international Mario Götze, as well as NBA basketball star LeBron James and current tennis world No.1 Serena Williams.
Bayern resumes its Bundesliga campaign with a trip to Hamburg later today (Friday) following the league’s winter break.
