German Bundesliga football club Bayern Munich has extended its partnership with music streaming service Apple Music.
The new agreement will run until June 30, 2019. The two parties first teamed up for what Bayern claimed is a ‘one-of-a-kind’ deal in 2017.
As part of the deal, Apple Music provides exclusive Bayern-focused content to users. Music favoured by Bayern players and related playlists are also showcased on the club’s official website and by the FC Bayern curator profile on Apple Music. New customers will also be able to trial Apple Music for three months free of charge.
Apple Music has created an exclusive playlist for Bayern’s upcoming tour of the US, with the team set to visit Philadelphia and Miami from July 23-29.
The renewal comes after Bayern last month extended a partnership with Beats by Dr Dre, the headphones and loudspeakers manufacturer which is a subsidiary of Apple. The new deal covers the 2018-19 season and will see Beats continue to provide players and staff with products.
