The Japanese electronics giant signed a three-year deal with Barcelona in July 2013 and the additional year now takes the partnership through to the end of the 2016-17 season.
Barcelona confirmed the renewal in a statement released on Monday evening. Panasonic TV Devices remains a global partner of Barcelona, with the deal having been used to promote the company’s Viera television brand.
As an official partner, Panasonic is on the third tier of Barcelona’s commercial roster, below principal partners Nike and Qatar Airways and premium partners Beko, Estrella Damm, La Caixa and Audi.
