Cycle brand Avanti has agreed a deal to become the official bike supplier of the New Zealand Olympic Committee.
The agreement, which will run for two years, covers the forthcoming Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games multi-sport event and the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Avanti has provided a fleet of bikes to the New Zealand team for Glasgow 2014. The bikes will be used to transport the team’s athletes and staff around the Games village.
After the Commonwealth Games, the New Zealand team’s bikes, locks and helmets will be donated to the Bike Stadium – a Glasgow-based charity that encourages good mental and physical health through cycling.
