The Association of Tennis Professionals, which operates the top men’s tennis tour, has extended a partnership with technology company Infosys.
Infosys will continue in its role as the global technology services partner and platinum partner of the ATP World Tour and the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals for two more years, through to 2020.
The two parties have been partners since 2015, working together to offer analytics and insights to tennis fans worldwide through ATPWorldTour.com.
They have also collaborated on a complete revamp of the ATP’s digital platforms, with Infosys supporting artificial intelligence developments and the ATP’s new PlayerZone app, as well as ATP Stats Leaderboards. Under the extension, a new ATP World Tour app will be developed.
“Our work with the ATP has gone from strength to strength in showcasing the future of tennis using technology such as AI and analytics, and in providing unique and differentiated digital experiences for players, coaches and most importantly the millions of tennis fans across the world,” Infosys chief operating officer Pravin Rao said.
ATP executive chairman and president Chris Kermode added: “Technology is playing an increasingly leading role in enhancing our understanding and analysis of our sport as well as enabling us to forge greater engagement with our worldwide fanbase.”
