Spanish LaLiga football club Atlético Madrid has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with online trading company Plus500.
The new one-year deal will cover the 2017-18 season. Plus500 will continue to serve as the official main sponsor of the club.
Plus500 will retain various branding rights, with its logo to continue to feature on the front of Atlético’s playing jerseys and training shirts.
The company will also benefit from advertising exposure at the club’s new Wanda Metropolitano stadium, which is due to open in time for the 2017-18 season.
Asaf Elimelech, chief executive of Plus500, said: “Atlético Madrid, consistently demonstrates its strength, professionalism and passion for success, which we feel reflects Plus500’s qualities. We are looking forward to continuing this partnership which has proved to be a harmonious combination between Atlético Madrid and Plus500, and created a strong unified brand.”
Plus500 first teamed up with Atlético in January 2015, initially enjoying branding rights on the back of the team’s shirt. The contract was extended in June 2015 to grant Plus500 main sponsor rights.
