Golf’s Asian Tour has unveiled global hospitality company Hilton Worldwide as its official hotel partner.
As part of the deal, Hilton Worldwide aims to become a more prominent figure in golf by showcasing its portfolio of hotels on the Asian Tour.
The full length of the agreement was not disclosed, although from September 2015 the Hilton Golfer of the Month initiative will be launched, which will reward the Asian Tour’s outstanding golfers.
Mike Kerr, chief executive on the Asian Tour, said: “Hilton is an iconic brand that is synonymous with hospitality and known to provide enriched experiences for its guests.”
Mark Liversedge, vice-president of marketing, Asia Pacific, at Hilton Worldwide, added: “Through our golf partnerships in Europe, and now in Asia, we are looking to engage with the growing number of golf leisure travellers whilst also supporting the professional tours to provide them with a home away from home as they travel throughout the season.”
