Formula One motor racing team Force India has signed an extension to its sponsorship agreement with Mexican telecommunications company America Movil for the 2015 season.
America Movil will continue to benefit from exposure for its Telmex, Telcel and Claro brands on the Force India car. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal comes on the back of Mexican driver Sergio Perez renewing his contract to race for the team for 2015 and beyond, and America Movil’s positioning on the new car livery will unveiled at a ceremony in Mexico City in January that will be streamed online.
Mexico will also host a grand prix on the Formula One calendar next year for the first time since 1992.
Force India team principal Vijay Mallya said: “With Formula One returning to Mexico in 2015, our association will take on greater significance as we embrace the country’s huge passion for the sport.”
