French insurance group AG2R La Mondiale has announced a three-year extension to its naming rights sponsorship of its self-titled UCI World Tour cycling team.
The agreement means the AG2R La Mondiale team will continue under its current moniker until the end of the 2016 season.
AG2R La Mondiale team manager Vincent Lavenu said: “We are lucky to be supported by a loyal and faithful sponsor who allows us to compete at the highest level. It gives the riders security and calmness and makes them do their best to defend our colours. We welcome the news, and it is obviously a great satisfaction for us.”
AG2R La Mondiale currently stands third in the team classification at the on-going Tour de France, with Frenchman Jean-Christophe Peraud its highest-placed rider in ninth.
