French insurance group AG2R La Mondiale has extended its sponsorship of its self-titled UCI World Tour cycling team until 2018.
AG2R La Mondiale declared itself a “happy sponsor” in renewing the deal, citing the team’s performance at this year’s Tour de France in its decision to extend the contract.
French rider Jean-Christophe Peraud finished second overall behind Vincenzo Nibali in the 2014 Tour, while AG2R La Mondiale secured top spot in the team classification.
“After this great season and this outstanding Tour de France in 2014 for our riders, this choice seemed obvious,” AG2R La Mondiale chief executive André Renaudin said.
