The AFL Aussie rules football league has entered into a partnership with Korean consumer electronics company Samsung.
According to media news website The Drum, the two parties have agreed a three-year deal, with Samsung Electronics Australia to serve as the league’s official consumer electronics partner.
As part of the agreement, Samsung will take on naming rights to the video and news section of the AFL Live mobile application.
Josh Grace, chief marketing officer at Samsung Australia, said: “If there is one thing that many Australians are passionate about, it’s sport. Both the AFL and Samsung have a shared love of bringing people together. We look forward to creating the sensational experiences for AFL fans on and off the field through the partnership."
The 2018 AFL season got underway last month.
