Drilling equipment supplier Saltire Energy has agreed a three-year partnership with Aberdeen that makes it the Scottish Premiership football team’s shirt sponsor.
The exact financial terms of the tie-up were not disclosed, but Aberdeen confirmed a “seven-figure deal” has been agreed.
Saltire Energy has an established relationship with Aberdeen, having collaborated on several initiatives over the past six years – stemming from the Saltire in the Community programme focused on youth projects that launched in 2008.
The company’s involvement with Aberdeen goes beyond first-team level and also covers the club’s youth and development teams. Aberdeen’s new Adidas-manufactured kit bearing the Saltire Energy branding is available to buy from the team’s club shop and online outlets from today.
