New Zealand-based telco 2Degrees has agreed a deal to become a shirt sponsor of all five Super Rugby teams in the country.
Under the agreements, the firm will be the exclusive telecommunications partner for the Blues, Chiefs, Hurricanes, Crusaders and Highlanders.
The partnership will see the 2Degrees logo on the front of each team’s shirt. The deal begins in February 2018 and runs until 2020.
The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
2Degrees already held a deal with the Highlanders, while the other teams’ telecommunications partner had been Vodafone.
2Degrees chief executive Stewart Sherriff, said: “This is a significant sponsorship for 2degrees, we think it’s a great metaphor for our growing scale and credibility, both as a business and as a provider of connectivity to 1.4 million Kiwis.”
