Rugby Australia receives backing from Stan and sponsor amid Super Rugby clash

Rugby Australia has received support from its domestic media rights-holder Stan Sport and mining magnate Andrew Forrest as it continues to mull the prospect of exiting the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

Last month, Rugby Australia chairman Hamish McLennan became embroiled in a war of words with rugby figures in New Zealand after threatening to withdraw Australian franchises from the competition.
