Zurich Insurance has agreed a two-year deal to become an official partner of the Spengler Cup, the world’s oldest invitational ice hockey tournament.
As an official partner, Zurich will receive an advertising package that includes its logo featuring on Spengler Cup printed products and on the event’s official website, in addition to advertising space behind both goals during matches.
The insurance company will also have exclusive use of the Platinum Circle facility and other hospitality benefits.
Zurich agreed the deal with IMG Schweiz, the Swiss arm of the event’s official marketing partner, IMG Worldwide.
The new partnership will further strengthen Zurich’s presence in the ice hockey market, with the deal coming shortly after the firm agreed a three-year deal to sponsor the re-launched Swiss Ice Hockey Cup.
