The Swiss Ice Hockey Federation has signed up Zurich as an official sponsor through to 2017.
The Swiss insurance group joins Shakeria, Skoda and Tissot as a second-tier partner of the SIHF in a deal brokered by the InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment agency.
Under the terms of the deal, Zurich will support Switzerland’s nine national teams and will also sponsor ice hockey referees giving the company branding presence on the uniforms of officials during domestic league games and the Swiss national team’s home matches.
