Swiss Super League football club Young Boys Bern has announced Japanese automotive manufacturer Honda as its main sponsor until the end of the 2016-17 season.
Under the agreement, Honda will benefit from front-of-shirt sponsorship with Young Boys Bern, along with branding on training kit.
Honda will also provide the team and club staff with a fleet of vehicles, while enjoying promotional and hospitality opportunities at home matches.
As a result of the deal with Honda, Young Boys’ long-term partnership with French manufacturer Citroen as a premium sponsor and car partner will be discontinued in late 2013.
Honda also replaces the Laureus Foundation as main shirt sponsor but the sporting charity will remain as the club’s official charity partner in line with an agreement signed in July.
Young Boys finished seventh in the Super League in 2012-13 and currently sits third in this season’s table, three points behind leader FC Basel.
