Swedish football club Hammarby has agreed a partnership with Japanese tyre company Yokohama.
Yokohama has been named an official partner of the club, which competes in the top-tier Allsvenskan league, for the 2016 season. The deal also includes the option of a further year.
As part of the agreement, Yokohama’s logo will appear on Hammarby’s first-team and U21-team jerseys.
Hammarby’s marketing manager Patrik Blomquist said: “We believe that Yokohama will play a key role in helping us to drive our expansion in Allsvenskan football towards a future international market.”
Yokohama Scandinavia’s general manager Goran Bengtsson added: “We see our partnership with Hammarby as an integral part of our marketing.”
With three games of the 2015 Allsvenskan season remaining, Hammarby is currently ninth in the league.
Yokohama currently serves as the shirt sponsor of English Premier League champion Chelsea under a five-year deal running from 2015-16 to 2019-20.
