Japanese heavy equipment manufacturer Yanmar has agreed a deal to become an official sponsor of this year’s edition of the Suzuki Cup national team football tournament.
Yanmar signed the agreement with event organiser the Asean Football Federation, which governs the sport in southeast Asia.
As part of the deal, Yanmar will receive field-level brand exposure during games. The company will also provide promotion and ticket-related support to the tournament.
Earlier this week, Japanese automotive manufacturer Suzuki extended a naming rights partnership with the AFF for the tournament, ensuring the event will continue to be officially titled the AFF Suzuki Cup.
This year’s edition of the biennial event will take place in Myanmar and the Philippines from November 19 to December 17. Thailand is the reigning champion.
