The Welsh Rugby Union has signed a four-year extension to its deal with specialist equipment supplier Rhino Rugby.
The partnership is designed to benefit both the grassroots game in Wales and the national squad and will continue until 2018.
Rhino Rugby has been a supplier to the WRU for more than nine years and will continue to provide the Wales team with its full range of equipment, including scrum machines and tackle bags.
Earlier this season, the WRU announced an initiative under which 43 schools appointed full-time school ‘club hub’ officers, with those schools benefitting from equipment supplied by Rhino.
WRU member clubs will continue to be offered reduced rates on Rhino equipment under the governing body’s Participation Points scheme.
WRU chief executive Roger Lewis said: “The most important thing about Welsh rugby's relationship with Rhino is that the players and the national coaches are happy with the specialist equipment they supply. If we have the right supplier at a national level, when we filter down the equipment and expertise to our age group sides and directly to grass roots rugby, we know we are reaching the right standards to enable our teams and rugby clubs to flourish in their training environments.”
