The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) has sealed a multi-brand partnership with consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble.
The WNBA will partner with P&G brands My Black is Beautiful (MBIB), Cover Girl, Tampax and Secret to promote the company’s MBIB Imagine a Future program, an initiative that aims to positively affect the lives of teenage African-American girls with access to a range of scholarship and workshop opportunities.
WNBA figures past and present will appear alongside P&G’s participating brands and the Imagine a Future campaign at league and team events throughout the 2013 season.
Additionally, the brands will be integrated throughout WNBA.com, along with courtside signage during nationally televised games, social media channels and WNBA team partnerships.
Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
