Bundesliga club SV Werder Bremen has agreed on an early extension of its shirt sponsorship with poultry brand Wiesenhof until the end of the 2021-2022 season.
Wiesenhof is currently in its eighth year as the club’s main partner and shirt sponsor. The new deal will take it up to ten years.
Under the deal, the Wiesenhof logo will brand the shirtfronts of the men’s and women’s teams, the Werder esports team, the U23 team, and all teams in the club’s performance centre.
Peter Wesjohann, chief executive of the PHW Group, which owns the Wiesenhof brand, said: “We are very pleased that we are the most loyal main sponsor in the 120-year club history of Werder Bremen.
“When we started the partnership in 2012, we knew that the down-to-earth, family and professional leadership of the club fits very well with our family business.
“Another important reason was the proximity to our headquarters, because regionalism is an important topic for us. ”
