Major League Baseball franchises the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets have entered into partnerships with local IT solutions company Proven Business Systems and pizza delivery company Papa John’s, respectively.
According to the Crain’s Chicago Business website, Proven has signed a six-year deal to become the official office technology partner of the White Sox.
Proven’s branding will feature on a giant billboard at the team’s Guaranteed Rate Field ballpark as part of the agreement. The company will also benefit from video board signage, as well as the use of hospitality suites during games.
Under the agreement, Proven will also provide business services to the team.
The Mets’ agreement with Papa John’s, meanwhile, sees the franchise become the 22nd MLB team to partner with the company. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Papa John’s also has partnerships with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals.
The 2017 MLB season marks the second year of Papa John’s long-term partnership with the league. The company serves as the official pizza of MLB through an agreement signed in April 2016.
