Cross-border payments provider Western Union Business Solutions has extended its partnership with the Women’s Tennis Association through 2016.
Under the terms of the multi-year renewal, Western Union will continue as the WTA's official international payments provider and manage all corporate foreign exchange services for the world governing body of women's tennis.
Additionally, all WTA tournaments will exclusively use Western Union to pay out prize money to the tour’s players.
Stacey Allaster, chairman and chief executive of the WTA, said: “With 54 WTA tournaments in 33 different countries, we need someone with experience handling lots of financial transactions quickly, accurately and across the globe.”
