NFL American football team Washington Redskins has entered into a content and marketing partnership with the Washington Times newspaper for the 2014 season.
The Washington Times will produce specific Redskins content under the agreement, including the weekly ‘Redskins Weekend Game Guide’ that will wrap the front page of the Times’ Friday print edition during the NFL season.
Alongside this, the Times aims to launch ‘The Redskins Report’ – a free digital magazine featuring exclusive content – in August. Both publications will be aided by extensive access to Redskins players, coaches and personnel.
Times sports reporters will provide commentary and analysis on Redskins’ radio and television shows and also appear on the team’s online pregame show and the halftime shows – the latter broadcast on screens at the Redskins FedEx Field stadium.
Washington Redskins and the Washington Times will have access to each other’s marketing assets to assist in social media and subscription drives.
