Tool and plant hire company Selco Builders Warehouse has extended its partnership with English county cricket team Warwickshire.
The new agreement, financial terms of which were not disclosed, will run until the end of the 2019 season. The two parties’ previous two-year deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Selco will continue to serve as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor during its One-Day Cup and T20 Blast matches. Warwickshire competes in the T20 Blast under the Birmingham Bears moniker.
The two parties last season launched the Edgbaston Classroom campaign to raise awareness of cricket within schools and the new agreement will include a range of other community initiatives.
Gareth Roberts, Warwickshire’s commercial director, said: “Not only does it (the new partnership) continue our shared community programme and support for Birmingham Bears, but it ensures that Selco can be part of one of the biggest programmes of international cricket at Edgbaston (Warwickshire’s home ground), which includes 35 major match days with an Investec Test Match each summer until 2019.”
