Warrior Sports extends CHL deal

Warrior Sports, a high-performance sports equipment manufacturer, has extended its sponsorship deal with the Champions Hockey League.

The renewed agreement with the European ice hockey competition covers the next three seasons, from 2017-18 to 2019-20, according to Infront Sports & Media, who brokered the deal.

Matthias Wolf, the managing director of international operations at Warrior Sports, said he has seen the excitement build around the CHL in the past three seasons and believes it is the perfect channel to obtain maximum exposure in the important European markets.

“The decision to extend our sponsorship as official kit supplier allows us to continue to benefit from the close contact we have had with the clubs and the pro players,” he said.

The contractual rights of the deal involve all participating teams and referees wearing branded Warrior Sports apparel, with additional advertising throughout arenas.

The current season drew to a close on Tuesday night with Frolunda Gothernburg defeating Sparta Prague in a 4-3 overtime win. The 2017-18 season will kick off in August.
