The United States Tennis Association has agreed a multi-year deal to make Visit Orlando the global tourism partner of the US Open championships.
The partnership ties in with the USTA’s plan to relocate its community tennis and player development divisions to Orlando, with a new facility in the Lake Nona area set to be completed by the end of 2016.
Visit Orlando will benefit from on-court exposure at the two-week tournament at Flushing Meadows, New York – the last of tennis’ four annual grand slam tournaments.
Additionally, Visit Orlando will sponsor the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day initiative and participate in year-round marketing programs on the USTA website.
Visit Florida, the state's official tourism marketing body, will also partnering with Visit Orlando and the USTA on marketing programs and becomes the exclusive tourism sponsor of the Western & Southern Open tournament near Cincinnati.
