Spanish LaLiga football club Valencia has struck a deal with beIN Sports that will enable the pay-television broadcaster’s logo to appear on the back of players’ jerseys.
Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, it was confirmed that the beIN Sports logo will be positioned on the lower back of Valencia’s playing shirts in time for this weekend’s match against Barcelona.
The beIN Sports branding will appear on the shirts during all LaLiga games as well as matches in the Copa del Rey domestic knockout cup competition.
The deal was announced just hours after beIN Sports secured the main package of domestic rights for LaLiga over three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19, dislodging telecommunications company Telefónica as the main rights-holder for domestic club football in Spain.
