Vitamin and health supplement manufacturer Usana Health Services has extended its partnership with the WTA women’s tennis tour until 2016.
Usana has been the official health supplier to the principle organising body of women’s professional tennis since 2006 and it will continue to provide its nutritional products to more than 160 players.
Under the extended agreement leading players Eugenie Bouchard, Madison Keys, Monica Puig and Zhang Shuai will join Sloane Stephens, Samantha Stosur and Zheng Jie as Usana brand ambassadors.
Usana will also launch its “Aces for Humanity” campaign where every ace served at a top-tier WTA event will translate into a donation to the Usana True Health Foundations, which seeks to provide critical human necessities to those in need around the world. Every ace served will result in a $5 (€3.65) donation by the WTA, apart from those by Usana ambassadors when the amount will be $10.
Additionally, the WTA and Usana will retain their “Athlete Guarantee”, where the company will compensate WTA players for lost revenue up to $1m should they test positive for a banned substance due to taking Usana products.
