English Premier League champion Manchester United has announced a three-year extension to its UK partnership with credit card issuer MBNA.
MBNA and United have been partners for the past 15 years and the company will continue as the club’s official credit card provider for the UK market.
As part of the renewal announcement, MBNA will launch a range of new club branded credit cards.
Every fan successfully applying for a new Manchester United credit card can now select one of four specially commissioned designs.
These feature Ryan Giggs’ famous FA Cup goal celebration against Arsenal in 1999, a ‘Champions 2013’ logo commissioned to celebrate United’s 20th league title win and a legends design, featuring images of club icons including Gary Neville, Andy Cole and Peter Schmeichel.
A final design will feature United’s Old Trafford stadium and ‘Holy Trinity’ statue of club icons George Best, Denis Law and Bobby Charlton.
