Manchester United has signed a four-year sponsorship deal, from 2013-14 to 2016-17, with Mexican banking group INVEX.
The new agreement will give INVEX the exclusive rights to produce and market Manchester United-branded credit cards in Mexico.
The INVEX Manchester United Credit Card will offer the club’s Mexican fans unique benefits and offers, including discounts at the club’s online store and the Manchester United membership programme. In addition, cardholders will also be offered money-can’t-buy prizes such as signed shirts and match tickets.
Manchester United’s commercial director Richard Arnold said: “Mexico is well known for its love of football and Manchester United is lucky enough to have some 24 million loyal and passionate followers in the country.”
United has bolstered its appeal in Mexico following the signing of national team star Javier Hernandez (pictured) in July 2010.
