Unilever-owned ice cream brand Magnum has agreed a three-year deal to become a new partner of the French Open grand slam tennis tournament.
The contract with the French Tennis Federation (FFT) covers the 2018 to 2020 editions of the tournament held at Roland-Garros in Paris.
Magnum will serve as the official supplier and distributor of ice cream at the Open, with the deal also set to include other Unilever-owned brands in the shape of Ben & Jerry’s, Carte d’Or, GROM and Kinder.
British-Dutch consumer goods company Unilever has partnered with the French Open for two decades. In March 2017, its deodorant and antiperspirant brand RexonaMen reached an agreement with the FFT to continue sponsoring the tournament.
The two-year deal covers the 2017 and 2018 editions of the event.
