US sportswear manufacturer Under Armour has announced a multi-year deal with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football team Sao Paulo.
Effective from May this year, Under Armour will provide kits to Sao Paulo’s first and academy teams.
The terms of the agreement were not officially disclosed, but the ESPN.com.br website said it will run for five years and is worth R$135m (€41.9m/$46.9m) to Sao Paulo.
According to ESPN, Sao Paulo will be paid R$15m annually and receive R$12m in-kind.
Sao Paulo joins English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur, Chilean Primera Division club Colo-Colo and Cruz Azul and Toluca of Mexico’s Liga MX on Under Armour’s football roster.
Under Armour succeeds Brazilian sportswear brand Penalty as Sao Paulo’s kit partner.
