Umbro scores West Ham contract ahead of Olympic Stadium move

English Premier League football club West Ham United has agreed a five-year deal making UK sportswear company Umbro its new kit supplier.

Umbro will replace Adidas as West Ham’s kit manufacturer from the 2015-16 season under a deal that will run until the end of the 2019-20 campaign. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The first year of the partnership is West Ham’s final year at its Boleyn Ground home before a move to the Olympic Stadium – the centrepiece for the London 2012 Olympic Games – in 2016-17.

Paul Nugent, vice-president of global marketing for Umbro, said: “West Ham United is an incredibly exciting and significant signing for Umbro. This is a special period in the club’s history and we are delighted to be part of it. We know the last season at the Boleyn Ground will be an emotional one and we worked closely with the club during the design process to create a memorable set of kits to commemorate the final season.”

Umbro has existing long-term kit deals with rival Premier League clubs Everton and Hull City. West Ham lies 11th in the Premier League table with four matches of the 2014-15 season remaining.
