English Premier League football club AFC Bournemouth has named UK sportswear manufacturer Umbro as its new kit supplier.
The initial five-year deal will cover the 2017-18 to 2021-22 seasons. Financial terms were not disclosed but Bournemouth confirmed the deal was a record for the club.
Umbro will supply Bournemouth’s kit, replica wear and training wear as part of the agreement.
“This is an exciting and important deal,” Bournemouth’s chief executive Neill Blake said. “AFC Bournemouth is a forward-thinking, progressive club and our new partnership with Umbro, which is the biggest kit contract in our history, is the perfect example of that.
“Umbro are known for producing high-quality kits for both international and domestic sides, and our supporters can look forward to unique designs which have been created specifically with them in mind. I am delighted that we will be working together over the next five years as I believe Umbro are the perfect fit to support our growth as a club.”
Umbro will replace fellow UK sportswear brand JD as Bournemouth’s kit supplier. Umbro also provides kit for Premier League sides Everton, West Ham United and Hull City.
